MUM grew out of a year of complete immersion — turning 21, becoming immersed in a new community, amongst an evolving city I was still finding home in, and the disorienting freedom of finally being seen by another guy. What started as a script about one chaotic chapter became something quieter and more honest: a film about what it takes to re-learn yourself, and what becomes possible when you finally let someone else in.
