From the floral-covered steps of City Hall to the sweat-drenched dancefloor of Precinct DTLA, we Angelenos stood together — over 2,000 of us — to honor the members of our LGBTQIA+ family in Orlando whose lives were cut senselessly short.

The range of mourning moved me deeply. Silence, spoken word, dance — all walks of life, all in the same room. I felt compelled to share some of what I witnessed.

While we made our visibility known in numbers as we mourned, the work continues in their honor. Get involved: everytown.org/act
